Kyosho America now offers custom foam bumpers for the Inferno GT. The bumpers are specially cut to fit the contours of the two most popular bodies, the Aston Martin DBR9 and the Ferrari F430. The high-density foam bumper replaces the smaller stock unit for additional chassis protection, and it better supports the nose of the [...]

Supermarine Attacker
I started building a new aircraft as an object, but quickly realized I’d bitten off more than I could chew. So to develop some object skills I’ve returned to the first plane I built – the relatively simple Supermarine Attacker. Lots of help from many people, especially Mid7night.
A few screenshots below before I crack on with painting. The aircraft has fully realistic control surfaces, landing gear including retraction mechanism, cockpit and arrestor hook.

Bertrand Piccard using X-Plane?
I just saw this on the news. It’s about Bertrand Piccard testing a virtual prototype of his solar airplane for the Solar Impulse project in a simulator.
The report can be found (somewhere…) at http://tagesschau.sf.tv/.
To me, the simulator they are using looks a lot like X-Plane…

Nosram Win at 2wd National!
“Nosram driver Ellis Stafford dominated both qualifying and the finals at the 2WD National at Ozwestry this weekend. Stafford won two of the three Qualifiers to TQ the event. In the A final, Stafford was clearly the fastest car, the only one to consistently clear the table-top. A second only to Lee Martin in round 1 after a late mistake meant Ellis had all to do. Ellis won Round 2 and 3 in quick succession to take an overall Win for the event.” [Source - mirageracing.com]

Saturday Night Contest
“News from TQ Model – Last Saturday we raced indoor at the “Arena”, same location that will be used in November for a bigger race (www.). The complex “Cowboy land” where the track is located is a kind of theme park dedicated to American rodeo, cowboy and red skins. The main hall is very big, about 60 x 40 meters, with a clay surface, similar to the one seen at NeoBuggy that was perfect from beginning to the end. This race was a kind of warm up for the organiser, Paolo Bosco of ModellismoRC and Piero Cresta of Planet racing, in order to be ready for the main event in November. Even this race anyway attracted a good number of competitors, more than 100 divided in Buggy F1, F2 and Truggy. The race started in the morning and finals has been raced during the night, with Buggy F1 final, the main event, starting around 1 AM! 30 Minute final ended with the victory of Riccardo Rabitti on his Losi / Sirio, who started from n. 1 spot on the grid, followed from his team mate Marco Grandesso. Third was Monaci with his OCM/Axe.” [Source - neobuggy.net]
