“Many drivers in the pro stock formula had come to mainly get practice for the BRCA national in about a months time, nearly all the top 20 drivers from Aldershot where in attendance. After round 1 of qualifying I was 12th and Glenn and Matt where in the top 10. In Mod Elliot had technical problems but Brian put in a good time and was 6th. Round 2 came and only myself and Matt improved our times, Glen was unlucky with ackmarkers which meant he didn’t improve. In Modified Elliot put in a mistake free race and shot straight up the leader board, taking provisional TQ, but there was another round to go. Brian Eldrige also improve with another clean run. “Last weekend we had the 3rd National round of the 200mm IC touring championship, held at the fabulous Mendip race track. 52 drivers booked in for the race, fortunately the weather was kind to us, it stayed dry and sunny all weekend. After 4 hard fought qualifying rounds in strangely low grip conditions we had 4 XRAY NT1’s in the main A final. (more…)
