In 4WD it was Stefan Mesker who took home the trophy with his X5 Squared, closely followed by touring car ace Nick Joosens, who is really getting more and more used to driving his CAT over the jumps and bumps of the off-road tracks he now faces. Local hero Tom van Drunen took home a well deserved 3rd place with his B44.

4wd Results
1. Stefan Mesker – X5 Squared (NL) [0-1-1]

9. Ronald Jostema – B44 (NL) [8-5-8]
10.Luc de Weerd – B44 (B) [7-8-6]

2WD was dominated all day by Bruno Heremans, he was the fastest man in qualifying and due to the skirmishes behind him in the mains he didn’t have to go all out to take home a well deserved win at the track of Vlijmen. Behind him there was an epic fight for the rest of the podium between Wouter Wynen, Simon Bettens and Arjan van de Graaf. In the end it was Wouter Wynen who was able to take home 2nd. Points leader Stefan Mesker had various problems throughout the day and was lucky to get away with a 6th place.

Racers Edge Alu Rear Hubs for Associated chassis'

Racers Edge have developed these new aluminium rear hubs to fit the Associated B4, B44, T4, and SC10. Based on the stock B44 4wd buggy hubs, they have a larger outside bearing for increased performance and bearing longevity, while a set screw holds the hingepin in place with access from the bottom. With four possible vertical ballstud locations for increased setup adjustments, these blocks are designed to add 1/2 degree rear toe in. Available in hard silver color, they have been CNC machined for accuracy, and laser engraved with degrees and L or R for left or right sides.

Protoform LTC-R signals the End of an Era?

Protoform were in contact to inform us of a milestone event that happened at last months Reedy Race of Champions in California. For approximately 10 years now every winner of every world class electric sedan event has seen the A-Main winning car donning some sort of Dodge Stratus or Mazda 6 style of race body. This decade old winning streak seems to have finally ended as Ronald Volker not only TQ’ed but won the RROC using a body that looked more like that of a Lexus IS-F. This year’s Reedy USA event was the first major event for the recently introduced Protoform LTC-R race body. Hupo Honigl backed up the bodies performance by finishing an excellent 4th place overall. Ronald’s big win at the Reedy Race is in fact something that’s starting to look like a bit of a tradition when it comes to the debuting of all-new Protoform sedan bodies. Barry Baker debuted the game changing Protoform Mazda 6 at the Reedy Race in Thailand with a win in 2004 and a couple of years later Craig Drescher won the Reedy Race in southern California while debuting the then all-new Protoform Dodge Stratus 3.0 race body.

Josh Stough wins 2009 Reedsburg Rumble

The 3rd Annual Reedsburg Rumble, an event that brings the top racers from throughout Wisconsin and surrounding areas took place this past weekend under extremely cloudy and rainy conditions. Mother nature played her part in the Rumble this weekend teasing us Friday with picture perfect weather only to take it away and replace it with clouds, cold and light rain all day. Even though the forecast called for rain all day Saturday almost 100 drivers showed up for the annual event. Due to the forecast of heavy rain for the day, we started the day very early with a 9am start time, this early start was the key to us getting 99% of the event in. As the day progressed, a light drizzle fell on us for most of the day which made for a bit of a cold atmosphere but it actually worked to the racers benefit as the track was the absolute best you could hope for. Not muddy at all, just damp and full of traction.

We had 5 class, Short Course Truck, Intermediate Truggy and Buggy and Expert Truggy and Buggy. Qualifying went well and we were able to get all the races in with the exception of Expert Buggy. When it was time for their 30min final, the rain had increased and it was decided that the conditions were unsafe for the marshals on the track so the Expert division final was canceled and winners were decided via qualifying order. I would like to congratulate all the winners in all our classes and thank the Reedsburg Club for another great facility and look forward to our next event we can hold with them. Here is the list of the winners of all the classes.

Int. Buggy : Mike Fisk
Int. Truggy: Jeff Mann
Short Course Truck: Nick Achterkirch
Expert Truggy: Brad Sherer

Expert Buggy: Awarded via qualifying order.
1. Josh Stough (TQ) – Team Losi
2. Josh Ford – Mugen
3. Kendall Welch – Kyosho
