A few months back I spotted the Jada Toys Battle Machines Laser Battle RCs in the store and wanted one (or two or all of them). I currently have three. They provide a great break from building RCs, repairing family cars, and playing Wii Sports — all activities I’ve done a lot of lately (only two of which I’ve really enjoyed — can you guess which ones?).

Speed Passion 5.0T Competition 3.0 motor

Speed Passion have announced the 5.0 turn version of their Competition 3.0 motor. Expected to be released in mid December, it is similar in features to the previous versions, with a 20% improvement in efficiency over the previous version. Performance has also been improved with new adjustable timing allowing you to chose from smooth low, mid power kick of smooth throughout the power delivery. It also of course sports the handy new high power current plug in system that allows for simple solderless motor changes.
