Ginting & Suliandy win Indonesian Nats Rd1
The first round of 1/10 EP Indonesian National Championship was held on Sunter International Speedway in Jakarta and saw a total of 50 drivers competing in two classes, Modified and Stock 11.5. In Modified class qualifying, Bowie Ginting placed his Xray on TQ spot, followed by Teddy Syach with his Hot Bodies in 2nd place, 0.8 seconds behind Bowie with Kris Heriyana driving a Tamiya in 3rd place, 1 second further back. In Stock class it was again Bowie Ginting in the TQ spot, with Suwardi Suliandy driving a TOP Photon in 2nd and Dimas Ardian with a Tamiya in 3rd spot.
Modified Final 1 saw Bowie get the first spot with Kris Heriyana 1.5 seconds behind him. In the 2nd final, Bowie Ginting got a penalty and must enter the pit, rejoining the race in 2nd place behind Kris Heriyana. The pair had a very close duel, which ended on 3.5 minutes when Heriyana rolled his Tamiya giving Bowie the lead position, going on to win the second leg, which gave Bowie the overall win in the modified class. In the last final, it was Teddy Syach and Kris Heriyana who had a nice duel, both were fighting for first place to try and claim 2nd place overall and at the end, Syach finished first with Heriyana on second leaving both on equal points with Heriyana taking it with a better time.
Modified class result
1. Bowie Ginting – Xray T3
2. Kris Heriyana – Tamiya TRF 416 X

In the Stock class, It was Suwardi Suliandy who won the first leg, but in leg 2 he got a bad start giving Bowie the advantage to win the 2nd leg. After the drama of the previous finals the final leg of the Modified A final, it was a rather processional affair. Juho Levanen led from start to finish to win ahead of Ronald Volker, with Olly Jefferies third. This result gave Juho the EFRA 1/12 modified crown and a worthy winner after dominating qualifying. Ronald Volker was the runner up with Marc Fisher third.
The final leg of the Pro Stock Spec A final and it was calculators at the ready as everyone worked out the permutations, the most simple formula for Chris Kerswell was to get away and lead from the front, which was what he did for three minutes until an error let Andy Moore through, as Andy was not in the hunt for the title all eyes were still on Kerswell who had Fisher on his tail for the remainder of the final. To a massive cheer from the partisan crowd Chris Kerswell crossed the line in second place giving him the EFRA European Pro Stock Spec title, Andy Moore cured his duration problems to take the third leg, Fisher was third in the final with Markus Mobers fourth and Keith Robertson fourth. This result left Kerswell as champion from Markus Mobers in 2nd and Keith Robertson completing the EFRA podium in 3rd.
